Pressure Point Stomach 5

The Pressure Point Stomach 5

Article update May 10th 2020. I know this is the one many of you have been waiting for! A favorite of anyone interested in neurological knockouts, and that is Pressure Point Stomach 5 [ST-05]. Therefore today I am going to go into painful details on how ST-05 works, and why you should be using it!

[ST-05] Pressure Point Stomach 5

The Masseter muscle

The pressure point is located anterior to the angle of the mandible, on the anterior border of the Masseter Muscle, in the groove like depression appearing when the cheek is bulged 0.5 cun anterior to ST 6. [Excepts from Kyusho Pressure Point Anatomy]

The effectiveness of this pressure point will depend on the proximity of the nerve. On some people it is very close to the surface and therefore any strike will have an affect. On others it is buried deeper and requires a much stronger hit to stimulate.

This is were the sayings "cast iron jaw" and "glass jaw" come from in the boxing world.

Arteries of the Neck

The Vagus Nerve branch also runs in this area. This is sometimes called the "heart" nerve.

These are the reasons the brain reacts as strongly as it does to protect these areas.

One of the main reasons for the strong reaction by the brain to a strike at this nerve is the vast number of arteries in the area. Including the "jugular vein" under the jaw bone.

The Jugular Vein

While this is not consider to be a "deadly" pressure point there can be a lot of damage done to the area with a solid strike. Therefore caution is advised when using this pressure point for demonstrations. Most of all protect your Uki!

Knockout at Pressure Point Stomach 5

Below is a short video of a knockout I did a few years back at ST-05. Below I will explain.

The video is a breakdown from a Korean ITF Taekwondo Kata called Dan Gun. Now we do not do the Kata in the traditional way as we are not a TKD school. The Kata calls for a back-fist, but I instead put the back-fist hand to his face and struck my hand.

This causes the energy to spread out giving a very nice result without the same risk of damage to the jaw. Now this is a demonstration method and you certainly would not consider the for the street.

In Conclusion

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

Pressure Point Stomach 5 [ST-05] is an excellent target for self defense training. But in real life you would hit with all it is worth!

Self Defense Secrets

Self Defense Secrets

Self Defense Secrets

It is interesting, but when I make the subject line of an article anything about secrets more people will read it. Why? I think people deep down inside hope there is a way to get things done, win, without having to do the work. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am! So, what self defense secrets am I talking about? Well you did not read this far for nothing. But the secret may not be as exciting as you hoped.

The secret is......

Self Defense success is simple, its WISDOM, and wisdom is only extraordinary common sense

I see today so many online courses from EX military men that talk about "teaching you to defeat any man." And about their "special techniques" to assure success. Common sense will tell you this likely CRAP.

Now assuming the person they refer to in the add is really a Veteran, and if so my respect to him or her for serving his country, does not make him a self defense expert. It makes him a military person.

Men like Jesse "the body" Ventura are ex-seals but you do not see them teaching this stuff to the general public. Why? He is not qualified, WAR - Combat is NOT self defense!  The things these men and women train in are for WAR, they cannot be turned down for real life!

Plus often times when you watch the video this is nothing spectacular going on. It is BASIC STUFF. But the theme is someone looking for trouble! And if you look, you will find it! Real self defense is avoiding trouble!

So, why is this so bad? Because the focus of their content, and all the talk is about winning the fight. Self Defense is NOT about winning the fight, it is about surviving the attack.

Physically and mentally and hopeful without a murder charge against you. And without a life of mental issues from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder [PTSD].

Self Defense Secrets to success are simple, the secret is WISDOM, and wisdom is only extraordinary common sense.

Things you need to know!

  • How to keep your cool! Train to depersonalize the attack
  • Understand every element and sign of escalation
  • How to create an escape path. It is not about winning, but surviving.
  • Use reasonable force always! You do not want to end up in JAIL!
  • Know exactly what the law says, and stay within those limits.
  • Simply effective strikes and movements
Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

In Conclusion

Self Defense training begins long before any attack, and concludes long after the attack has ceased! There are many elements you need to understand, and apply in order to come out as a survivor and not a victim.

What self defense training do you have? Are you sure it is not "fighting" you are training for? There is a BIG difference! Let me know here.

Pressure Point Pericardium 2

Deadly Pressure Point Pericardium 2

The Pressure Point Pericardium 6

Today, since this is the beginning of a new week, i will take a look at Pressure Point Pericardium 2 [PC-02].

First I will tell you straight out that Pressure Point Pericardium 2 is not one to be played with especially without direction from a QUALIFIED Kyusho Jitsu Instructor. Therefore this article is for information ONLY.

Deadly Pressure Point Pericardium 2 - Why?

The Pericardium of the Heart

Some of the information below is from the eBook
Kyusho Pressure Point Anatomy

To the left is an image of the Pericardium of the Heart

The first place I will begin at the Pericardium. What is a pericardium? Very simply put this it the "sac' within the chest cavity that contains the heart. This is the reason why some Kyusho Jitsu / Dim Mak teachers will often call this meridian "Heart 2."

Pressure Point Pericardium 2 - Location

The Pressure Point Pericardium 2

PC-02 is located 2 cun below the end of the anterior axillary fold, between the two heads of the biceps brachii muscle. Like PC-01 this is a very dangerous pressure point and cannot be take lightly.

Striking this point straight in will cause terrible pain and the person to drop to their knees. If they were exhaling at the time of the strike loss of breath often occurs.

A knockout can occur from striking this pressure point as a result of over stimulation of the radial nerve. Striking on the left arm is very dangerous, however either side can yield a very serious and strong result. The angle and direction of the strike is "straight in" like an arrow going through.

This is NOT a pressure point for demonstrations! Now I have personally used this pressure point in self defense training in my Dojo in Canada. And I must say I was even surprised at the extreme result with not that much of a strike.

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

In Conclusion

Why is PC-02 one of the most deadly pressure points on the body? This is because of its direct connection with the functioning of the heart via the nerves in the vicinity of the pressure point.

Question? Should I write about more "deadly" pressure points? Comment Here!

You can read below about one of the other MOST DEADLY Pressure Points on the Body ST-09 from the button below. This is an excerpt from my new book!

Warning!

Do not strike this pressure point in practice! The result could be devastating. Always practice Kyusho under the direction of a qualified Kyusho instructor! And if you are learning via distance then ask questions to assure proper understanding before proceeding.

Kyusho Street Self Defense

Kyusho Street Self Defense

Kyusho Street Self Defense

I am often asked by non martial arts people if I was attacked would I use my "martial arts" to defend myself.  Every time I hear this question I honestly want to ask the person if they really are this stupid, or was this just a dumb question. Think about! It is like asking if I would breath to stay alive. My training is ME, and I cannot turn it off and go back to something else. And the idea behind Kyusho Street Self Defense is no different.

It is never a question of if "Kyusho" works, only if you have trained correctly and can apply the knowledge. There is no BEST or SUPERIOR martial art, only superior martial artists! Sorry Gracie Brothers, yes the style is important, but you attracted the BEST people!

Kyusho Street Self Defense - Sport and Self Defense

Everyone who know me knows I do not like sport martial arts. I competed in the TKD circuits for years and did OK. But I could not see any relationship between this and self defense. The same was true for boxing which I did intensely in my younger days. There are many differences between the 2 situations. Today we will talk about a few of them.

Misconceptions about Gun Defense

This LAW enforcement not Self Defense! And it will get you KILLED! Read about the Misconceptions of Gun Defense HERE!

And also read the FACTS about Gun Defense Laws in North America

The first one is a "fighter" is OK with the idea of being HIT. On the street you cannot take a few punches in order to land a few.  The attacker is not trying to "win" he or she is trying to KILL YOU. What is going on in their heads is not WINNING something, but doing as much damage as possible, without being caught or being hurt themselves. The functioning of the brain at this time is totally different!

Do not stand your ground!

The next thing the fighter will do is "stand his ground." There are many dead fighters who after they landed the first punch on the attacker found a knife in their stomach and died from the complications! Shit I know ONE PERSONALLY who died in the 1980's in my home town doing exactly this!

What happened? He stopped a robbery and then as the "thug" was fleeing he decided to let his ego come forward and pursue the criminal. STUPID!!!!! All he needed to do was call the police and let them do what they are trained to do! But the ego get in the way! For his trouble he was pronounced DEAD at the scene.

There is no situation more dangerous than a knife attack! And almost NO ONE has a clue how to correctly handle this very bad situation!

But there are solutions! However first look at this article on the 13 misconceptions of knife attacks

Self Defense for Knife Attacks
Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

In Conclusion!

The media and the ability to video anything these days has caused a glorification of street violence. And the problem is far worse than the "authorities" will tell you! Politicians are going EVER going to tell the truth about crime because they want to be re-elected! This is there ONLY driving force!

Kyusho Street Self Defense is not about WINNING, it is about SURVIVING and that is the ONLY OPTION!

What have your self defense experiences been? Let us know HERE.

Pressure Point Governor Vessel 26

Pressure Point Governor Vessel 26

The Pressure Point Governor Vessel

I love pressure points that lie in the upper 90 percentile for effectiveness and Pressure Point Governor Vessel 26 is one of them! As I continue today on the series of effectiveness pressure points for use in self defense we will address GV-26.

And this is truly one of the MOST painful pressure points on the human body!  Here is a gernal information article link on Vessels.

Pressure Point Governor Vessel 26 - Location & Use

GV-26 is located on the inside of the upper lip, at the junction of the frenulum and the upper gum. It is attacked by pressing in and down on the upper lip, with a 2-Way Action. A vibrating side to side motion works best! Small motion while pressing in HARD.

Kyusho Jitsu World

When you press and rub the pain is excruciating, however it is easy for the attacker to pull back. This is why this pressure point is best sealed from the back of the head with the use of the left or right hand depending on the defense and situation.

If you can grab a hold of GB-20 on both side with the left hand then the pain will escalate dramatically. This is a great defense if you are on your back with the attacker on top!

To increase the effectiveness of this make sure you have one foot as flat on the ground as possible. Lift the shoulder of the arm you are using to attack GV-26. Seal with the other hand at rub HARD

The pain is so intense the average person will dismount immediately and usually in a very violent motion to escape the pain. Others will pass out on top of you. I have experienced both effects on different partners. Plus I have never encountered a case with this pressure point that did not work. Therefore why I consider it to be an upper 90 percentile effective rate.

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

In Conclusion

GV-26 is an awesome pressure point to add to your self defense system. Pain is a great motivator and it also offer the opportunity for escape. Striking this pressure point in and down is also devastating!

Have you had the opportunity to work with this pressure point? Please let me know HERE!

Kyusho Jitsu Experience Level

Kyusho Jitsu Experience Level

Kyusho Jitsu Experience Level

So today I ask a question? What is your Kyusho Jitsu experience level? And why am I asking this question? There are several reasons I am asking. But the one I am aiming at today is, "How can I help you?"

Without the knowledge of someones experience it is difficult to give them information that will truly benefit them. There is NOTHING wrong with review! But how many times can you review the same materials and still keep motivated?

Experience in Kyusho Jitsu can take many different paths. There are people out their who's experience focuses on the "show" aspects of Kyusho Jitsu. And there is nothing wrong with that! Myself I focus on the self defense aspects. The reason is I feel it is the most important!

Kyusho Jitsu Experience Levels

Master Federico Asensio

You can breakdown the teaching of Kyusho Jitsu into 2 main categories. The first one being from the "eastern" martial art aspect. And the second the "western" medical aspect. Both are excellent methods!

Personally I do both! The reason that I do was my Kyusho Jitsu teacher GM Steve Stewart. The reason is simple. Before he became the operator of a full time Dojo called Steve Stewart's Modern Martial Arts in London Ontario he was in the medical field. His knowledge of human anatomy was incredible! In later years he also became of Doctor of Acupuncture. He encouraged me in all aspects, Recently he sent me a message saying he was very proud of what I am doing here.

His methods of teaching and enthusiasm rubbed off on me. So I have tailored my programs to teach both sides.

Martial Arts Tradition

Get your Kyusho Jitsu Black Belt

When I first created the Kyusho Jitsu World Alliance, which is mandated to spread the "teachings" of the science of pressure point self defense one of the first members asked me a question.

"Sir I am a member of KI, is this a problem?"

The question I really appreciated! And this student is still with me! Why appreciate the question? Because the more the student learns, the better you become. And everyone of us has something different to offer. Or it is offered in a different way! The answer of course was "no problem."

In Conclusion

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

Thank you for reading! Experience is one of the greatest teachers and it is always beneficial too seek experienced people for your instruction.

Kyusho Jitsu is an amazing and fun journey!  Feel free to comment here also.

Updated Editorial: While surfing the web the other day checking on my name online I found a "new" write up on Bullshido Forums. First my thanks to these clowns for the free publicity. However I must ask the question. Why has the martial arts world evolved to this? Has it become so pathetic that YOU feel you need "internet children" as watchdogs for an industry?

This type of information today is the reason for so many issues in the world. Putting value in something because it "claims" to be an authority rather than using you own common sense. It is all ego and very pathetic.

The ONLY Bullshido I see on the net in martial arts is BULLSHIDO themselves.

Train hard, do the work, get the experience and stop using websites of mass distention. While I completely agree with the right to free speech, defamation is a CRIME, and those who follow become accomplices

However I did enjoy the write up as it was only negative in the sense that they call me a fraud because I know George Dillman and because I have spoken of No Touch Knockouts which I have always said have no application. But they don't research, just make noise.

Enough said

The location of Pressure Point TW-23 is in the depression at the lateral end of the eyebrow, on the lateral border of the Zygomatic process of the frontal bone, in the orbicularis oculi muscle.  A strike to the area can cause a break in the ocular bone and serious damage to the eye.

Pressure Point TW-23 - Effect

The Bones of the Face

The ocular bones are the weakest bones in the body and therefore will break very easily. Hitting TW-23 with any kind of force will increase the weakness of the muscles in the area. A knockout can result from a correct light strike in order to protect the eye, Hit downward towards the jaw.

Many years ago back in the early 90's I had a friend serious hurt due to a strike to the area of Pressure Point TW-23 during a no contact Tae Kwon Do tournament. He required many, many hours of reconstructive surgery. And he lost partial vision in the eye. He was not hit very hard either! This is why I always advise caution with the pressure point!

Therefore please use this pressure point with extreme caution! Below is a video of a Neurological Knockout I did at TW-23 many years ago. Note the light tap for this one. On the street you would hit HARD.

The student went out very easy, mostly because he had been used several times for knockouts during the evening. However it gets the point across. I do have a much better one however YouTube deleted it on me. At a later time I will upload it to another less political platform.

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

In Conclusion

As you can see from all this information TW-23 is a very powerful pressure point. But remember caution is needed with this one. Death is a possibility under the right conditions as well as permanent eye damage.

Pressure Point Pericardium 6

The Pressure Point Pericardium 6

Once again today I am continuing the series of different, very important pressure points on the body. And today we have Pressure Point Pericardium 6! This is one of my personal favorites. That is mostly because my root art is Hapkido and therefore a hands on grappling system.

Pressure Point Pericardium 6 - Location

PC-06 is located 2 cun above the transverse crease of the wrist, between the tendons of the palmaris longus and flexor carpi radialis muscles, in the flexor digitorum superficialis manus muscle. In it's deep position in the flexor digitorum sublimis muscle. Below is a closer look.

The Pericardium Meridian

Pressure Point Pericardium 6 - A Setup Pressure Point

PC-06 is primarily a setup pressure point. While not the easiest pressure point to strike when you do it causes disorientation and a general weakness of the entire body. It also has an important usage as what I call a "Kyusho Special Alarm Point" as pressing it will cause a weakness in the chest area.

It is also a very important pressure point in Dim Mak and the healing arts.  As an example of usage in a grab, if you press down on PC-06 and then strike GB-24 you are very likely going to get a knockout. This will depend on the force used in the GB-24 strike. If this does not cause a knockout the motion of the body from the strike will give you a clear shot at GB-20.

PC-06 is a pressure point you will want to study in more details and work into your self defense system!

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

In Conclusion

You cannot image the power and influence this pressure point has until you use it. Plus it does not require a strike to get a  result. Simply activating it with touch is sufficient!

Had you had any experience with Pressure Point PC-06? Please tell me about it here!

Pressure Point Gall Bladder 24

Pressure Point Gall Bladder 24

The Pressure Point Gall Bladder 24

Today as my series on different pressure points for use in self defense I continue with Pressure Point Gall Bladder 24.GB-24 is an extremely important pressure point on the body because it has a "special" function. Pressure Point Gall Bladder 24 is also an Alarm Point. This is critical information.

Pressure Point Gall Bladder 24 - Location

 intercostal nerves

GB24 is located on the upper abdomen, directly below the nipple, in the 7th intercostal space, 4 cun (finger widths) lateral to the anterior mid-line of the chest. This area of the body, the rib cage is monitored and protected by the intercostal nerves. The intercostal nerves are part of the somatic nervous system, and arise from the anterior "rami" of the thoracic spinal nerves from "T1" to "T11." This is very important information in the study of Alarm Points and Associated Alarm Points. Information on Alarm and Associated Alarm Points are covered in the eBook The 15 Principles Plus One of Kyusho Jitsu.

This information above is the reason that GB-24 is a knockout pressure point.

Pressure Point Gall Bladder 24 - Alarm Point

Now to go into depth on Alarm Points and their uses in one article is not possible. Coming in the future I will be dedicating a eBook to the subject as I have never completely covered it from advanced to master levels. I have gone into detail before, but nothing like I will be in the future.

The Gall Bladder Meridian

Pressure Point Gall Bladder 24 is the Alarm Point for the Gall Bladder [Organ and Meridian] itself. What this means is that when you strike this pressure point the Gall Bladder Meridian is activated bilaterally on the body at a high level. Triple Warmer is also activated bilaterally.

In these articles on the different pressure points on the body I have not gone into the 5 elements to any extent. However this is something I am assuming knowledge in. But I have something for you while we are on the topic.

Here is a link to a FREE copy of my Cycle of Destruction Video. This will open in a new window so you can download while reading.

You can also get a FREE copy of the meridian charts to the left here.

Because of how important the rib cage is, and that it is the only protection for the heart and lungs GB-24 is a "body knockout" pressure point. It lies in an area of weakness in the chest and so the nerves react to a solid strike very violently. A chop here in a self defense situation can cause unconsciousness, a break or crack in the ribs and also a possible dislocation of a rib. Sever damage to the ribs can cause a lung puncture and result in death.

Below is a sample knockout at Pressure Point Gall Bladder 24

In Conclusion

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

It is very important that you know your pressure points! The above information will help you to be able to use GB-24 effectively! However caution needs to be used always. Any pressure point on the chest cavity can have very serious results up to and including death.

I am a very experience practitioner, and in this video I used sound in order to get a result without relying on heavy impact.
