Aging Martial Artists

* Kyusho Jitsu Winter Season

Often times aging Martial Artists are not a pretty thing to see. Many put on vast amounts of weight, and are then ridiculed for it, which is funny because it is often the kettle calling the pot black. The harder you trained, often the more sever the issues later.  Injuries catch up with you, for most arthritis sets in.  Physically we change, but in our hearts we remain young. This in Kyusho Jitsu is part of the seasons of life

Growing Old with Grace

This is what we all hope, to grow old and have a little grace with it. Maybe some wisdom. Wisdom will tell you that it is perhaps time to control the ego, relax and enjoy life. I know that is what I have done here moving to East Europe. I am not taking it “easy” but I have made life simpler.

Today the face of martial arts is very different. Sport is now the BIG fad, and yes it is a fad. The fad will last, but personally I see little to no value in it. But hey that is just me, does not mean I am right or I am wrong. However, what concerns me is the attitude of some, that they will never age, or have the concerns that we have.  I am not expecting to see much wisdom from this generation.

What exactly do I mean? People today, martial artists today do not see the long term consequences or karma of their actions.

Youth and Consequences of Actions

Are you aware that there is a part of the human brain that does not stop its development until the age of 21 on average? This is the part that understands the consequences of actions. This is why so many teenagers smoke, take drugs, have unprotected sex, drive to fast, and live life on the edge.

Today I think perhaps for some the brain never matures. However, there comes a time when you need to understand the body, and protect it and your loved ones. Self Defense becomes the focus, not winning a trophy.

Aging Martial Artists -  in Walks Kyusho Jitsu

The art and science of pressure point self defense helps to take the focus off a fitness level that cannot be maintained as we grow older. And honestly who would want too?

Kyusho Jitsu will help to compensate for injury and illness to the body by teaching you to be more effective in self defense, and not egotistical about it.

Kyusho Jitsu is a game changer, but it must be studied in earnest to be effective.  But then everything does have a price! That price is dedication. To my way of thinking while Kyusho Jitsu should be for everyone, it is really a calling for most.

And for aging martial artists, it is critical knowledge with far more benefits than the work that must be put into it. And learning can also help to prevent the onset of different mental problems like memory loss.

In Conclusion

Aging Martial Artists CONCLUSION

Today it is hard to get people to look past the current day. People worry about things that cannot change and do not take action on the things they can change.

Keeping your years of martial arts training effective is one you can change. Are you will to take the first step? Follow this link if you are!

Kyusho Power Vs Force

Shares

Kyusho Power Vs Force

* Kyusho Power Vs Force

What do I mean by Kyusho Power Vs Force? And how does this apply to Kyusho Jitsu? Today in the martial arts world training has taken on a different meaning. Conditioning has become paramount, skill in my opinion is on the decline.

Sport martial art has take over, with an obsession on battle, winning, and developing a killer body to do it! The problem is human nature when we are young makes us believe we are invincible. So all this goes on without a single thought of the end result.

If you want to see the end result you need to look no further then the body count in professional wrestling. MMA and sport martial arts will be there in a few more years. The body won't take it forever.

Kyusho Power Vs Force - Injuries HAPPEN

When you push the body hard non stop you are not creating power, you are instead forcing a result. There is a BIG difference! FORCE cannot be maintained, power, real power can be! When I was younger I training hard 2-3 hours per night, 6 days per week. Today my hips are shot, my knees are bad. Pain becomes a fact of life. Now there is nothing wrong with training hard. But "excessive" has a BIG price! And the massive addiction to pain killers is a big sight something is very WRONG.

I knew One Day i would get old

You know I knew I would one day get old. But I did not think it would happen so fast!

I am so VERY THANKFUL I met Steve Stewart in 2001. Why? Because Kyusho Jitsu is a game changer when it comes to the CLOCK of life.

The great equalizer for growing old, injuries and training changes due to the preceding.

With Steve Stewart. George Dillman and Louise St Jacques

He taught me how to develop POWER my using natural body mechanics, angles, pressure points and in the end wisdom. Therefore allowing me to improve with age, not regress like most people do. The seasons of life can not be avoided! But the effectiveness of your martial art can grow better with age like fine wine and whiskey.

The things Bruce Lee Taught

I find the life of Bruce Lee to be in many ways an inspiration to the martial arts. He showed size did not matter, that the style did not matter.  Yet somehow in the modern world those words are lost. I guess that is true of any prophetic person like Lee.

Bruce Lee understood the value of pressure point study and training. This is why he pushed George Dillman to pursue it.

In Conclusion

Kyusho Power Vs Force CONCLUSION

When you are finished beating on the heavy bad, kick target pads, dieting using hopefully not, but possibly using dangerous drugs to improve your performance remember, then an education in the science of pressure point self defense awaits you.

Quantum Kyusho Jitsu Intent

Quantum Kyusho Jitsu Intent

* Quantum Kyusho Jitsu Intent

What is Quantum Kyusho Jitsu Intent? First before I jump into this let me just say that the Quantum Kyusho Jitsu Project is a revolutionary way of looking at the study of the science of pressure point self defense. If you want to read more about the Quantum Kyusho Project you can read my article here

Now let's take a look at INTENT, which is one of the most important ideals or concepts in Kyusho Jitsu. The truth is if you do not have intent, or if you cannot see the result you are looking to achieve before it happens, then it will not happen.

Most failed Neurological Knockouts are because of lack of INTENT. The student wants the outcome, but does not see it happening before it does. Therefore he or she fails. Success comes when the student see the outcome first! And the more vividly you see the outcome in your mind the better will be the result!

Quantum Kyusho Jitsu Intent - Quantum Law

One of the laws of Quantum Physics or Quantum Mechanics understand that nothing is actually "solid." And that the state of an object depends on whether there is an observer there to see it. Or in other words an object is only solid [exists] if there is someone there to see it. Otherwise rather then being "particles" the object then exists as waves of probability.

A great example of this is "Schrödinger's cat." This was a though experiment in Quantum Physics on the state of a cat in a box. It makes a great read.

So in Quantum Kyusho Jitsu Intent the same basic question is posed. Does a pressure point have any specific value or function in of itself, or is the action behind the result solely responsible for function and therefore the outcome?

Anyone who has trained in Kyusho Jitsu knows that pressure points work! Just as anyone who has receive acupuncture from a qualified doctors knows how amazing the result can be. But it does pose an important question or two.

The video below will help you understand the basics of intent

In Conclusion

Quantum Kyusho Jitsu Intent CONCLUSION

The first question how important is the intent of the student attacking pressure points. Is this really the reason for any and all outcomes.

And how important is the view or observation of the Uki in this equation?

What do you think? Tell me here.

Kyusho One Inch Punch

Shares

Kyusho One Inch Punch [Bruce Lee]

* Kyusho One Inch Punch

One of the great martial arts demonstration is Bruce Lee’s One Inch Punch.  It was never intended as a combat or self defense move, just to show that size did not matter when it came to power.  The funny thing is, the man who asked George Dillman to investigate pressure points, used some of the pressure point principles in what we can also refer to as the Kyusho One Inch Punch.

Now the haters are going to scream foul, but this is what they do best. So upset them more I will and as always just ignore them!

Kyusho One Inch Punch

Bruce spent a long time perfecting this technique. He actually had a machine he devised to help build up wrist strength to do this! But, a novice Kyusho practitioner with a little training can also get a GREAT result! How does it work?

Bruce has a very big style to the demonstration which is cool, but he is actually using a striking action with this technique called grasping. This type of striking action is used against the water element. Now Bruce also strikes to the center-line of the body, which is also best attacked with a grasping striking action.  So do this with your Uki, grasping and striking in a downward  motion with 2 Way Action and you will get a result the first time out!

Below is a video from many years ago I had forgotten about talking and show how Kyusho Jitsu and the Principles of Kyusho Jitsu are linked to the One Inch Punch

Now I mean absolutely no disrespect to Bruce Lee and his art, or those who train in this system today. However Bruce had a way of seeing things in other arts and then incorporating them into what he did if he saw value.

In Conclusion

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

Now I question when Bruce began to demonstrate the Bruce Lee One Inch Punch, or as I refer to it the Kyusho One Inch Punch if he had combat in mind.

However I can see a great application for this in a closed quarters situation and therefore believe that to pursue this knowledge more is essential and worthwhile.

Do you have any experience with the One Inch Punch? Please leave a comment and let me know.

Kyusho Fight-Flight Reflex

Shares

Kyusho Fight-Flight Reflex

* Kyusho Fight-Flight Reflex

Understanding the Kyusho Fight-Flight Reflex is a "master key" to teaching and accomplishing successful self defense. But from what I have seen in the industry only a hand full of teachers actually understand it. Below is a definition.

Fight or Flight Reflex"The fight-or-flight response is a physiological reaction that occurs in response to a perceived harmful event, attack, or threat to survival."

Now pretty much everyone understands this on an intellectual level. The issue is people do NOT understand it on an application level.

Application of Kyusho Fight-Flight Reflex requires some specific training. Some people have "natural" control when it comes to this, I was lucky to have been one of these people. But this is a psychological occurrence and not related to normal martial arts training like some think. I will also say this categorically, this response has nothing to do with ring fighting, or sport. You DO NOT experience the Fight or Flight Reflect in a ring. Your life is not in danger!

Kyusho Fight-Flight Reflect - Training it

When this reflex kicks in one of two things are going to happen. You will freeze like a deer in the headlights, or your will fight back (or run).

This is a massive dump of adrenaline to the systems, chancing blood flow, heart rate, breathing rate and many other physiological occurrences.

Kyusho Jitsu Pressure Point Self Defense

You can train this in a martial arts setting by slowing ramping up "stress training." My favorite methods were to simulate an attack in the dark. This was also a student favorite. And doing multiple attacks. There is a right and wrong way to do it too. Most do it wrong.

What martial arts teacher often don't get is that the students response is looked at first. And also what is their reaction like? What steps need to be taken to help them with fear?

This is a  step by step process!

Next we need to look at the tools required, once the student can deal with the response of the nervous system, required to end the conflict FAST! The very best scenario is to be able to end the attack in no more than 3 strikes, preferably one!

Before i go on I will point out that everything happening here is due to a neurological response. So why would you not learn to take advantage of that? [Nerve Strikes]

Kyusho Fight-Flight Reflex

Kyusho Fight-Flight Reflex

Recently I was at a seminar with a Hapkido presenter, a very well respected man and rightfully so. What he was teaching as street caused me concern because it seemed to be the wrong level of escalation.

If you put someone in an arm bar who is trying to kill you what will you do next? What will you do if his buddy is near by and is going to cut your throat?  Self Defense is not 1 dimensional. You are also not going to press a point and finish the fight. The misconceptions about Kyusho Jitsu - Pressure Point training and usage are vast!

You need to strike the correct place, the correct way and fortunately there are MANY such places on the body. Your root art training should be able to get you there! If not you need a new system.

And since there are pressure points on the body that will yield an excellent result with a single strike then why would you not train for these? Here is a short list of one hit pressure points to train with.

One Hit Knockout Pressure Points

  • Pressure Point ST-05
  • Gall Bladder 20
  • Pressure Point LI-18
Kyusho Fight-Flight Reflex CONCLUSION

In Conclusion

When it comes to conquering the Kyusho Fight-Flight Reflex it is a complex subject.

 Some people like myself need to do no work.  Since I was a child my response to crisis as always been with calm.

For others it requires learning to be braver in bad situations. And this becomes the job of the teacher. Martial Arts - self Defense training is highly psychological. Where do you fall into the spectrum of control of the Fight or Flight reflex? Please comment here.

Pressure Point Brain Dysfunction

Shares

Pressure Point Brain Dysfunction

* Pressure Point Brain Dysfunction

Pressure Point Knockouts are a controversial subject, but they should not be controversial at all. The issue is that they have been poorly explained over the years, and this is why the controversy.  So today I will explain exactly what we are dealing with. I call this Pressure Point Brain Dysfunction because it is the use of pressure points to cause a  brain dysfunction

Pressure Point Brain Dysfunction - Brain Dysfunction

First let me explain the term brain dysfunction. A brain dysfunction is anytime the brain stops reacting to the world in a "normal" manner. This can be caused by many different things. It can be a minor problem or something very serious like a brain tumor. Mental disorders are also brain dysfunctions.

Drinking alcohol, smoking pot or using any kind of drug causes a brain dysfunction to one degree or another. Pain killers as an example interfere with the pain receptors in the body, blocking pain. This is also a dysfunction to some degree.

When we strike a pressure point we are looking to by disrupting the flow of electricity at a nerve to cause a dysfunction or for the purpose of the article a pressure point brain dysfunction. This can be anything from pain to unconsciousness.

Pressure Point Knockouts

* Pressure Point Brain Dysfunction

What people see when they watch a pressure point knockout is not what they are expecting. They get an image in their minds like that of a boxing or MMA fight in which one of the combatants is completely unconscious.

Now despite the rather barbaric enjoyment of the fans this is always a highly dangerous situation. These kinds of knockouts while neurological and certainly a brain dysfunction are also linked in with brain damage and/or concussion. And this can be deadly! This is why caution must also be used with Kyusho Jitsu knockouts as they can be very dangerous.

When training to do neurological pressure point knockout we must be very cautious of the health of our Uki or training partner. No one needs a concussion! Therefore we are looking for signs of brain dysfunction to judge our results. This can be dizziness, loss of balance, speech slurring, dilated pupils and the list goes on and on.

Sometimes if the pressure point has been activated correctly we will get complete unconsciousness. Most of the time this is achieved by those who have trained the longest in Kyusho Jitsu and have the most refined knowledge.

Pressure Point Brain Dysfunction - What happens

When you strike a pressure point, and what is a pressure points,[?]"A pressure point is a place on the body where a nerve ends or terminates, where it branches off like in a "Y" formation or crosses another nerve," it will cause a compression of the nerve which results in great pain. Or in the case of certain pressure points an over loading and reaction from the central nervous system and/or brain dysfunction.

And with 361 plus pressure points on the body, [see Kyusho Pressure Point Anatomy] there is a lot of opportunity for attack. However there is opportunity only for those who sincerely do the work and study!

In Conclusion

Pressure Point Brain Dysfunction  CONCLUSION

I hope this article helps you to get a better understanding of what neurological pressure point knockouts are about.

As an example in a "bad situation" I target GB-20 with a strike and cause the attacker to drop to his knees dizzy,  I have the time I need to escape the bad situation as he or she recovers from the strike.

One of the things to always remember also is self defense is complicated. it is not a fight like 2 idiots in a bar. And it is NOT COMBAT. By definition combat is WAR, and that is kill or be killed mentality!

Self Defense is about survival, which is the only victory! Check out our Humane Pressure Point Tactics Courses if you have an extra moment. I am sure you will find the information interesting. Plus get a free video lesson too!

I hope I made this understanding of pressure point brain dysfunction clear for you. I would love to hear what you think! You can leave a comment here

Kyusho Pressure Point Summation

Shares

Kyusho Pressure Point Summation

* Kyusho Pressure Point Summation

What is Kyusho Pressure Point Summation about? This comes from a question I was asked today as to whether I had heard of or new the term. Now this is not something I can recall Dr Steve Steward saying. But I could be wrong.  And I am going to ask to find out.

However the term interests me. Kyusho Pressure Point Summation, I see a tie in with Quantum Kyusho Jitsu here.  Therefore I am going to assign my own ideas and definition to it based on the actual meaning of the word, especially from a medical standpoint.

Summation Definition

There is a definition of the term summation in neurological study. And this definition seems to be VERY applicable to the science of pressure point self defense Kyusho Jitsu.

"The aggregation of a number of similar neural impulses or stimuli.  The cumulative effect of a number of stimuli applied to a muscle, nerve, orreflex arc."

This is pretty cool! And I can see how we can apply this to Kyusho Jitsu! Let's get into this!

Kyusho Pressure Point Summation - Goal

What is the goal or goals when we look at a pressure point strike or manipulation? There are 3 potential goals or outcomes. They are as follows:

1) Death - This is the high end of the spectrum. To strike or manipulate a combination of pressure points that will result in either instant death or delayed death.  This would require a deep understanding of how death can occur and which pressure points are deadly

2) Brain Dysfunction - Often time referred to as a Kyusho Knockout but much more correctly referred as a Neurological Knockout. This can be as simple as disorientation, to dizziness and unconsciousness.  This can also lead into body dysfunction like blindness or the inability to walk.

3) Pain - Pain can be used for control and compliance of an attacker. This is especially useful in low escalation self defense situation and every situation begins as low escalation levels. Knowledge of the most painful pressure points on the body is a must.

Kyusho Pressure Point Summation - Probability of Success

Now this is something I have been doing on a personal level for a long time. And it is honestly not for every student. It depends on how you wish to be challenged and how much. Some people just want to learn about effective pressure points and how to use them. Like in my video course the 10 Best Pressure Points for Self Defense.

And that is just fine. But others want to learn how to "map" the body, and figure out the most effect combinations of pressure points to get the desired results or goals listed above. Hence Kyusho Pressure Point Summation is for this type of student!

Kyusho becomes Science

Kyusho Pressure Point Summation

I have stated this many times. Kyusho Jitsu for me is a science. This is because I study pressure point combination versus variable factors and conditions to try to find predictable outcomes.

And the variables are many! Really to many to name. We must also include the different Kyusho Jitsu Principles and concepts like Quantum Kyusho that can be applied.

Let's look at one such example

Cross arm Finger Lock - Pain

In a cross arm finger lock the goal is pain and therefore control. So my right hand is to his right hand and I have the Large Intestine and Pericardium Fingers. 2 Way Action is applied. There is however for this example no "basing" of the Uki's arm taking place. Doing so make this an experiment more in body mechanics that pure Kyusho.

In respect to the idea of keep this article below 2000 plus words I am going to describe 2 scenarios in the video below.

Kyusho Pressure Point Summation CONCLUSION

In Conclusion

This is some really facinating stuff! Especially for some dedicated to Mastering Kyusho Jitsu, the science of Pressure Point Self Defense.

And I am sure now you can see how the term Kyusho Pressure Point Summation can become very important to your study.

One thing is for sure, I am going to be spending a lot of time in thought about this. I even feel a book coming on. I just need to decide the parameters of testing and creating benchmarks.

What are your thoughts on this? Leave a comment and let me know.

Kyusho Jitsu Winter Season

Shares

Kyusho Jitsu Winter Season

* Kyusho Jitsu Winter Season

Martial Arts training is a life long journey. When I was a kid it was spoken as to the fact that training was an equalizer for a larger and stronger attacker. Today the thought process is very different. Why is that? Because "old knowledge" is often times not taught and people are obsessed with "working out" over real training. That is what the Kyusho Jitsu Winter Season is about. The time of life when you really understand what has been missing from your training and work to fix it.

Life is broken into seasons. And Kyusho Jitsu teaches at high levels about the seasons of life.  And the truth is as you grow older, the more you need the missing information that is hidden in every martial art.

Kyusho Jitsu Winter Season - Aging

Often times aging Martial Artists are not a pretty sight to see. Many put on vast amounts of weight, and are then ridiculed for it, which is funny because it is often the kettle calling the pot black. And the harder you train in youth the more like you will have weight issues later in life.

* Kyusho Seasons of Life

And the harder you trained, often the more sever the issues later. Injuries catch up with you, for some arthritis sets in. Physically we change, but in our hearts we remain young.

Growing Old with Grace

This is what we all hope, to grow old and have a little grace with it. Maybe some wisdom. Wisdom will tell you that it is perhaps time to control the ego, relax and enjoy life. I know that is what I have done here in my life. I am not taking it “easy” but I have made life simpler.

Today the face of martial arts is very different. Sport is now the BIG fad, and yes it is a fad.

The fad will last, but personally I see little to no value in it. But hey that is just me, it does not mean I am right or I am wrong. However, what concerns me is the attitude of some, is that they will never age, or have the concerns that we as we approach the Kyusho Jitsu Winter Season have.

And I am not expecting to see much wisdom from this generation. And as time goes on I know wisdom will be lacking.

What exactly do I mean? People today, martial artists today do not see the long term consequences or karma of their actions. I remember kicking like this in the image below. But today my hips hate me for it.

Dedicated Kyusho Student

Youth and Consequences of Actions

Are you aware that there is a part of the human brain that does not stop its development until the age of 21 on average? This is the part that understands the consequences of actions. This is why so many teenagers smoke, take drugs, have unprotected sex, drive to fast, and live life on the edge.

Today I think perhaps for some the brain never matures. However, there comes a time when you need to understand the body, and protect it and your loved ones. Self Defense becomes the focus, not winning a trophy. and Kyusho Jitsu once perused, training and mastered because a game changer.

It is the equalizer great men like Bruce Lee spoke of! Did you know Bruce Lee was responsible for George Dillman looking into Kyusho Jitsu?

Kyusho Jitsu Winter Season

I am fast approaching what I call the Kyusho Jitsu Winter Season. While I get a lot of "natural exercise" I never go to a gym, or do the things people "believe" they need to do today. And let's be honest, washboard abs are only for narcissistic reasons. They have no application in life and this is not a natural state for most.

The art and science of pressure point self defense helps to take the focus off a fitness level that cannot be maintained. And it cannot be maintained! In fact it is this that is the most probable cause of Bruce Lee's death. He was obsessed with fitness training and gave no consideration to his bodies recovery.

Martial Art self defense training along site of Kyusho Jitsu helps  to compensate for injury and illness to the body by teaching you to be more effective in self defense, and not egotistical about it.

You learn to be confident and calm in the face of danger. And to do what needs to be done quickly and effectively and then get the hell out of dodge!

In Conclusion

Kyusho Jitsu Winter Season CONCLUSION

There are many who will disagree with me and that is fine! We will see what happens when winter arrives for them too!!

Now I am not talking about the Kyusho Jitsu naysayers. I NEVER look for advice from those what have failed in life because they are too lazy to do the work!

And that is 90% of today's population!

For me winter will arrive on January 1st 2020. And I am looking forward to it! What season are you in your life today? Leave a comment and let me know here.

Important Kyusho Pressure Points

Important Kyusho Pressure Points

What are the most Important Kyusho Pressure Points? Now the reason I say Kyusho Pressure Points is to make sure that I am differentiating between Kyusho and Acupuncture. Now the very best reference you can have for the most important Kyusho Pressure Points is my eBook Kyusho Pressure Point Anatomy. It is called the Gray's Anatomy of Kyusho Jitsu for a reason.

The deeper your understanding of the function of the different pressure points the better you will do with your study. There are many things to consider like correct angle and direction, which relates directly to your root art. Then we must consider at least the first five Principles of Kyusho Jitsu. [There are 15 total]

This would be Principles like the Cycle of Destruction,  and Attack Along the Meridian. And that all relates to the 5 Element Theory.

Pressure Points to Consider

The following are the pressure points that I feel everyone should be considering adding to their self defense system. This is the place to focus at the beginning. If an article exists on this blog with reference to any of these pressure points I will reference with a link.  As I write articles on the pressure points not linked I will add them.

Most Important Kyusho Pressure Points

Important Kyusho Pressure Points CONCLUSION

In Conclusion

This is far from an exhaustive list! And to be honest there are many I have left out!

How did I come up with these over other pressure points? Well the list is directly related to my root art of Hapkido.

You should decide which pressure points to train with first based on the movements you have internalized.

After that base is done, then it is easy to add more pressure points to your current self defense system and then add more pressure points. Knowing these pressure points is essential for anyone in the martial arts. The time has come to leave the haters and pressure point / Kyusho failures behind!

Any questions? feel free to leave a comment here.

Kyusho 5 Element Hand

Kyusho 5 Element Hand

* Kyusho 5 Element Hand

What is the Kyusho 5 Element Hand? Today I will jump into a detailed look at the elements within the hand, and how to take advantage of these elements in the science of pressure point self defense Kyusho Jitsu.  and this information is directly link to the importance of the Kyusho 5 Element Theory.

This is also something that many instructors do not teach and often times guard it as being "Secret" Or maybe they just don't know.

 Kyusho 5 Element Hand - How it Works

The picture above is not completely accurate. However it will do.  Remember there is no absolute in anything! And this applies to the elements of the body. The hands are "predominantly" fire and metal, however they do contain traces of all the elements.

You will also notice that they are using the Kyusho Jitsu Colour Principle, but the mix is healing and destructive which is odd.

It appears in the image that the entire finger is, as an example with the metal or ring finger, to be entirely metal. This is not true. The element change begins at the knuckle and grows more and more as it reaches the finger tip. Therefore the "tip" of the ring finger is more "metal" than any other part of the finger.

This is why the "middle" finger is so effective to use as a fire finger.

Using the Finger Tip Elements

Before we really get into this lets talk about using the finger tips as a weapon. Now you certain can condition your fingers with "iron palm" training to be used as weapon. But you can also attack a pressure point, depending on the pressure point with a pressing action.

* Pressure Point LI-10

Not all pressure points are "press" points. However Pressure Point LI-10 is a great example of being both a press and strike pressure point. Which finger would work best? The "middle" or Pericardium Finger, because you are following the Cycle of Destruction. Try this with a partner! You will see that the middle finger will cause the most pain!

Experiment with all of these. You will see very predictable results!

Kyusho 5 Element Hand - The "Secret"

But there is something that few people know about all of this. The "secret" aspect! Now I could be wrong, because I have met many Kyusho Jitsu students who are aware of the above information. But thus far no one other than those I have taught about the "secret" method, which was taught to me by Grand Master Steve Stewart.

Have a watch of this short video for all the details!

In Conclusion
