24 Hour Diurnal Cycle of Kyusho Jitsu. What are body energy cycles?

The Kyusho Jitsu 24 Hour Diurnal Cycle

Beginning in Novice Kyusho Jitsu study and carrying on far into the master levels including Dim Mak is the Kyusho Jitsu 24 Hour Diurnal Cycle. Many student believe this cycle to be of little use. However this could not be further from the truth. The fact is that the Kyusho Jitsu 24 Hour Diurnal Cycle is a cornerstone principle of pressure point study as well as Dim Mak. It is also essential for success. So today lets dive deep into this advanced principle.

Kyusho Jitsu 24 Hour Diurnal Cycle - Breakdown

First let us take a few moments and do a breakdown of the cycle. It is critical for any Kyusho Jitsu student to memorize this cycle and be able to recite it from any part forward and backwards!

24 Hour Cycle - 1st 12 Hours

  • 3:00 am - 5:00 am - Lung
  • 5:00 am - 7:00 am - Large Intestine
  • 7:00 am - 9:00 am - Stomach
  • 9:00 am to 11:00 am - Spleen
  • 11:00 am - 1:00 pm - Heart
  • 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Small Intestine

24 Hour Cycle - 2nd 12 Hours

  • 3:00 pm -5:00 pm - Bladder
  • 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm - Kidney
  • 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm - Pericardium
  • 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm Triple Warmer
  • 11:00 pm - 1:00 am - Gall Bladder
  • 1:00 am - 3:00 am - Liver

So what exactly is this? In the healing arts this is the energy flow cycle of the 12 meridians of the body. Note the Yin/Yang parts? This is extremely important as the study progresses! The time itself denotes the "reboot" period for the organ and therefore it become most vulnerable at this time.

Kyusho Jitsu 24 Hour Diurnal Cycle

So as an example the Gall Bladder meridian is at its most vulnerable from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am. Therefore attacking GB-20 will have a more devastating effect.

Since this is also the height of drinking time in the bars, and alcohol weakens the Gall Bladder this adds to the effect.

But this information applies more to Dim Mak than anything else. The reason being is most people are not that time conscious. However with training you could be!

In Conclusion

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

When it comes to the Kyusho Jitsu 24 Hour Diurnal Cycle there is much to learn! For the student of the science of pressure point self defense the direction of energy flow is the most important.

If you have any questions on this principle please leave a comment!

Update September 2nd 2021: I am constantly learning more and more about just how important this 24 Hour Cycle is. Not just for Kyusho and Dim Mak, but also when it comes to health.

3 Pressure Point Knockout Combinations. What is the Secret?

Learn 3 Pressure Point Knockout Combinations

Are Pressure Point Knockouts real? If they are then how do Pressure Point Knockouts work?  I am asked this question often. Therefore today I am going to give you  3 Pressure Point Knockout Combinations that you can begin to use right away!

*Warning - please always train doing pressure point knockouts with proper instruction*

The first thing I want to clarify with this post is that these knockouts will work. However depending on your root art and style of movement you may or may not be able to incorporate these.

They also tend to be "static" which is part of the learning experience. How you get to these 3 Pressure Point Knockout Combinations will be up to you. But I will give you the basics.

First I need to note that all attacks are based on ONLY 3 possibilities. 3 different ways someone can attack you. Today I will give an example from one of each.

The 3 methods of attack are:

  1. Push
  2. Grab
  3. Punch

Pressure Point Knockout Combinations - A push

Pressure Point Knockout Combinations

The first and most basic of attacks is from a push. In my Humane Pressure Point Tactics Courses I teach how you can absorb these pushes and trap the hand coming forward. This allows for a fast and easy setup by trapping the hand to part of your body, lets say KD-27 for the purpose of this article.

With some training you can then trap using your HT-8 point in alignment with their TW-3. If they are touching Kidney in this case noted you have Water and Fire together in the cycle of destruction. Thus beginning your setup.

If the push is against your left shoulder you would absorb and then return to position turning them away from you. This would expose GB-31 for a knee tap. Also exposing ST-5 for your right hand and a strike from back to front. Plus this gives you all 5 elements in the cycle of destruction and if ST-5 is hit well and deep knockout.

Pressure Points Used on Attacker

Pressure Points Used on Self

  • KD-27 Water
  • HT-08 Fire
  • Hand strike gives fire and metal. It is low metal, but that is not an issue. Sound could be added to enhance the attack.

Unfortunately a video demonstrating this has been deleted by YouTube. Anytime I speak of "self defense" on YouTube and demonstrate a knockout they consider this offensive and a violation of policy. I wish I was kidding. But your RIGHT to Self Defense in the 21st Century is under attack by these politically correct clowns.

Pressure Point Knockout Combinations - A Grab

Video removed due to issue, however TW-23 can be a dangerous pressure point as it protects the ocular bone and a hard strike therefore can damage the bone and the eye. However a light tap is OK. This knockout comes from a combination of below.

Pressure Points on the Attacker

Pressure Points on Self

  • HT-08 on the strike
  • Water from the movement

Pressure Point Knockout Combinations - A Punch

Next we look at the punch. Below is another video for you to enjoy. I will break it down afterwards.

In this knockout I am using a fire stance, and attacking all the Yin meridians on the arm. And this gives me a lot of fire and metal. Here is a breakdown of points and other elements.

Pressure Points on the Attacker
Pressure Points Used on Self
  • HT-8 (Hand)
  • Fire Stance

Here we are using a short cycle of destruction which are water, fire and metal. The water element comes when I step into the fire stance. Any time you break ground with Kidney 1 you create water.

3 Pressure Point Knockout Combinations in Conclusion

Pressure Point Knockout Combinations

One of the things you need to understand about Pressure Point Knockout Combinations and being success is how the different pressure points work!

Without this understanding it is very difficult to get good at this part of the art. And especially to apply it on the streets!

Kyusho Jitsu Debunked! What make Kyusho so controversial?

Kyusho Jitsu Debunked!

I spend every morning on a mission. The first thing I do is check the stats for all of my website. And this includes seeing what people are searching for when it comes to the science of pressure point self defense.

Today someone search "Kyusho Jitsu Debunked."  But they did spell debunked wrong. Which is actually one reason for the article,

Kyusho Jitsu Debunked

Today there is a trend in entertainment and society to want to "debunk" things. Personally I think it is pathetic. There is even a TV show dedicated to this! And they have been caught falsifying their results!

So am I against this idea of debunking? No, I am not, but do the damn work yourself! Stop being influenced by people with agendas.

Large Intestine 18

Over the years I have watched many political attempts by martial artists, news media and supposed "watchdog" sites like Bullshido try to debunk Kyusho Jitsu. Sorry guys but any claim of Kyusho Jitsu Debunked is a false one! They setup circumstances under their full control to try to prove a point. Debunking MUST be done with a neutral mind, one without an opinion as to the outcome. People are also great for their misinterpretation of results in order to further their opinions and sooth their ego.

I recall one such interview years ago with a Kyusho Master and the local news media. As he was demonstrating how a knockout worked and "tapped" the woman reporter at ST-05 her response was "of course I am dizzy you hit me in the head." And the stupid public bought this as Kyusho Jitsu Debunked!

Brilliant of the news to send a woman, and a great misinterpretation of what Kyusho Jitsu is all about! Same with the FARCE from the once great magazine turned political tablet National Geographic. The same magazine that stated "vampires are possibly real" enabling a group of people with a mental disorder.

Kyusho Jitsu Debunked - Do the Work

Referencing Kyusho Jitsu

Are you wondering just how real the science of pressure point self defense is? Then OPEN your mind and do the work! I know doing the world is against the current way of thinking in the 21st century, but that is just how life really is! Decide things for yourself after looking at all the different possibilities.

Approach people and learning as if the person you are speaking with might just know something that you do not know and therefore there is a great opportunity to learn! Most people are not listening just waiting for their turn to talk.

Facebook is proof of how much people want to force opinions on others.

In Conclusion

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

Today people love to have an express opinions on things they know ZERO about! It has become like a illness.

Always go to the people who know for information you need, not the wannabees!

I know I never learned anything while I was talking. If you have any questions about this article of on Kyusho Jitsu in general please feel free to leave a comment.

3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points for Devastating Results Fighting

* 3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points

What are the 3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points on the human body? I get asked this all the time, so lets discuss this today.  Please note I DO NOT recommend striking these points ever unless your life is in danger.

I certainly do not recommend them for demonstrations either.  With martial arts training comes responsibility.

And with the current climate in the world today it is essential that we should show responsibility when others will not. Read this article on the Kyusho Jitsu Uke to understand the importance of this.

And this list of 3 only scratches the surface of 3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points on the human body.

3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points - TW-17

Triple Warmer Meridian

One the the first of the 3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points. I am not listing these in any particular order. This is not the least nor the most dangerous of points. Opinions will vary on this but that is normal. So what makes Pressure Point TW-17 so dangerous?

It can be used in safety under certain circumstances. it is a GREAT head point for pain and control. However striking it can result is serious injury and even death. ANd this is why is is listed here under the 3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points.

3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points

Striking this point can cause a few things to happen. The vagus nerve is in this vicinity which is tied to the heart. Striking can cause a dislocation of the jaw very easily, which can in turn damage the jugular vein. It is also possible to cause a dislocation of the skull to the spinal column if the strike is hard enough and at the correct angle and direction

This pressure point also causes brain shock, which is a dangerous condition. Therefore this makes TW-17 one of the 3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points on the body. Read more about Pressure Point TW-17.

3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points - ST-09, ST-10

Kyusho Jitsu World

In considering the 3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points I count ST-09 and 10 as one pressure points because you will not strike one without striking the other. These lie in the neck along the carotid artery. A strike to these points cause an instant drop in blood pressure and a resulting vassal faint. What makes this so dangerous?

Because today heart disease is the number one killer the odds are pretty good that the person you strike may have some kind of heart issue.

This strike can cause plaque in the arteries to be released causing a stroke. Or in some occasions the blood pressure does not come back up and death can result. Now this is not probable, but POSSIBLE.

Therefore these points should be avoided in training. Extreme cautious needs to be used in reference to these 2 pressure points. Large Intestine 18 and Small Intestine 16 fall into this category too of the 3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points.

If you click the button below you can read what my new book Kyusho Pressure Point Anatomy has to say about ST-09. And here is an article on Pressure Point Stomach 9-10. I include ST-10 because it is almost impossible to ST-09 without hitting ST-10.

3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points - SP-21

Kyusho Jitsu Nerve Strikes -Spleen Meridian

Continuing with the 3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points we have Spleen 21 is in my view the most dangerous pressure point on the body. This is especially true for the left side.

Those who are advanced in kyusho Jitsu study know the many special functions of this pressure point. It is also one of the "death touch" points in Dim Mak

Aside from the energetic reason we deal with in advanced Kyusho Jitsu this pressure point lies in a very weak area of the ribs. a resulting break can cause a lung puncture and possible damage to the heart if on the left side.

A light strike will cause incredible pain. The energetic reason this point is so dangerous is beyond the scope of this article, however I will provide some links for learning more.

I have a separate article on Pressure Point Spleen 21.  This is truly one of the most vital spots on the human body when it comes to pressure point fighting.

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

In Conclusion

There are many, many very dangerous pressure points on the body. What are some of your favorites?

Are there some you are wondering about?

Leave a comment here and I will answer!

Here is a 4th example of the Dangerous Pressure Points. This is Dim Mak Pressure Point BL-10. Any strike to this pressure point is highly dangerous. Use the link above to read more. I hope you enjoyed this article 3 Most Dangerous Pressure Points.

Advanced Kyusho Jitsu Striking Actions

Advanced Kyusho Jitsu Striking Actions

An auto mechanic knows that for every job there is a tool. Sometimes these are very specialized tools, but they do exist. Just like for every pressure point there is a "way" to strike them. But sometimes it requires Advanced Kyusho Jitsu Striking Actions to get the job done properly and with the greatest affect.

Advanced Kyusho Jitsu Striking Actions - Heart 8

You may already be familiar with the power of the pressure point HT-08.

This spot on the body releases more energy than any other. Is there a way to take advantage of this? To be able to use this in a self defense situation to get a more predictable, more devastating result?

Yes there most certainly is!

In every martial art system there are the convention methods of attack. There is the punch, which is the most common and the least effective. Then there is the knife hand, and ridge hand which are much better than the punch. Finally there is the palm, which of the 3 is the most devastating. But it is the most challenging to use as it does not fit every situation. So everyone goes back to the punch.

Advanced Kyusho Jitsu Striking Actions

The funny thing about the punch is that most martial artist i have seen do not understand the mechanics of a punch, and use a sport version. This is designed to be safer. Some will condition their hands to make the weapon more powerful This is fine if done properly. But most people are not familiar with the proper way. This causes damage and pain later in life.

There are reason for each different "tool" being either more or less effective. A fist, especially if it is held tightly, with the thumb too far inward conceals energy.

A knife hand has a better angular effect, and the edge focuses the power better.

The palm is best because it can use the energy at HT-08 to enhance the effect.

So most people will then turn to elbows, knees and feet as additional weapons. The issues is these are higher risk or limited range.

Advanced Kyusho Jitsu Striking Actions - Solutions

Advanced Kyusho Jitsu Striking Actions

There are solutions to this issue. However they do require more study and more training! These are the Advanced Kyusho Jitsu Striking Actions that I call the 6 Energy Hands.

The 6 Energy Hands are specific hand positions, that release energy and have a specific function against certain pressure points.

These fit the occasion like a hand in a glove!

Back In October 2018 I released an all new video dedicated to teaching these very important 6 hand positions.

These will not only enhance you Kyusho Jitsu study but also help to make everything in the martial arts you do more effective! Follow the link below to learn more today!

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

Understanding the best methods to attack different areas of the body, and which tools are the most effective is critical to your training.

These ideas are pretty straight forward and if you have not used them the results will shock you!

6 Ji Energy Hands of Kyusho Jitsu. What are they?

6 Ji Energy Hands of Kyusho Jitsu

There are many mysteries in the science of pressure point self defense. Some of them are talked about, but often times they are not really taught or explained well. The 6 Ji Energy Hands of Kyusho Jitsu is a great example of this! I have seen many video demonstrations of these 6 hands. And even some live displays. But they really don't teach it!

Until now that is!

6 Ji Energy Hands of Kyusho Jitsu - Striking tools

When it comes to martial art training there are really only 3 basic tools taught. And these are taught today based on developing as much power as is possible. That is why students spend endless hours kicking and punching 100 pound plus heavy bags.

This is a very common practice for "fighters" and the hard styles of martial art training. And there is nothing wrong with this. However it does not mean that it is the only way.

Are you aware that a fist conceals energy? The more tightly held the more energy that is concealed. Also MOST people do not know how to properly made a FIST! The is a mechanically correct way!

6 Ji Energy Hands of Kyusho Jitsu

And the fist is notably the worst of all striking tools. It conceals energy and if make poorly like the example to the left can cause wrist injury. Not to mention damage to hand itself.

When you have to "condition" something to use it, you also need to ask questions as to why? Perhaps it is not the best weapon?

This why the palm strike and/or knife hand is a superior weapon. Open hand release energy!

6 Ji Energy Hands of Kyusho Jitsu - Striking Actions

The science of pressure point self defense also employees "striking actions" which dramatically increase the effectiveness of your strike. These are element based actions, which means the strike is actually against the element of the meridian. Therefore getting the best affect or result. If you are not familiar with these below is the breakdown.

  • Slapping - Fire
  • Vibrating - Metal
  • Chopping - Wood
  • Penetrating - Earth
  • Grasping - Water

All of the above actions also get their best result with an "open hand" as a weapon. The exception can be water, however the fist is very loose upon impact! It goes from fully open to closed on impact.

Understand the 6 Ji Energy Hands of Kyusho Jitsu

Now there is much more to learn! You will often see in the ancient Chinese arts, and let's face it the root of all martial arts is China, different open handed techniques. Often times these are based on the animal styles. And that is great! But there are 6 that stand out, and these are the 6 Ji Energy Hands of Bubishi.  Now here I am using the term the 6 Ji Energy Hands of Kyusho Jitsu because we are going to be using Kyusho Jitsu applications with it!

In Conclusion

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

You will find a lot of different demonstrations and information about the 6 Ji Energy Hands of Kyusho Jitsu online.

So what makes what I am referring to different? I am not just going to show it and talk about it. I am going to TEACH IT!

Attacked Tonight on the Way Home. Are you prepared?

Attacked Tonight on the Way Home

UPDATED August 25th 2020. What would you do if you were attacked tonight on the way home? What if your wife and kids were with you? Have you considered this?

When you’re walking to your car after a night out, after a movie or dinner, do you feel safe and confident? Or do you worry about the shadows in the corner?

Attacked Tonight on the Way Home

Maybe someone lurking behind the next car or the trash bin? If you do you’re not alone! Thousands of people every DAY are attacked on their way to their car in a parking lot or garage.

How about at work? Are there other employees that hassle you on a daily basis, sometimes threatening violence? Or maybe you work with customers all day, what happens when they get angry because things are not going their way, or maybe they’ve had too much to drink and are just looking to take their bad day out on someone… again these sort of things happen every day!

When an attack happens there is a trigger that goes off in our bodies call the “Fight or Flight” reflex. You either freeze on the spot becoming completely helpless or you act upon the situation. The majority of people freeze, it’s a natural response especially when most people have never had to confront an attacker or a dangerous situation. Did you know, attackers always look for someone who isn’t going to give them a hard time?

Pressure Point Self Defense - Attacked Tonight on the Way Home - Are you a victim?

Attacked Tonight on the Way Home

This is a very dangerous situation! Do you have the REAL knowledge to handle multiple attackers? Odds are that you do not!

An attacker will look for someone who looks like an easy target and won’t give them a hard time. In fact there are some very specific things you probably do that give you away as one, such as…

  •  Someone walking with their head down
  •  A person distracted by rummaging through their coat or purse
  • Someone on their cell phone engaged in a conversation
  • A victim that will be easily pressured into doing what they want
  • Most importantly, someone who will NOT put up a fight!

Attacked Tonight on the Way Home - Martial Arts Training

If you were attacked tonight on the way home this is where we hope our martial arts training kicks in. And there is a very good chance if we have trained vigilantly it will! However the reality of the streets today is far different than 20, even 10 years ago. The threat must end FAST!

Recently I quietly attended a seminar by a very well respected but out of touch martial arts master. There was no discussion of threat level, or anything realistic when it came to weapons. The techniques taught were OK as far as techniques go, however they provided a defense that simply did not address the BIG PICTURE. Ending the conflict with reasonable force in the fastest amount of time.  Plus on the street these type of techniques rely to much on timing. And if your timing failed would get you hurt.  Hence they are not practical.

Attacked Tonight on the Way Home - Real Pressure Point Self Defense

The problem today is most martial art training is very heavily focused on sport. And there is no similarity between this and self defense. I have personally known many good fighters who got smoked on the street because being attacked is in no way a sport! Therefore this is training everyone needs!

Right to Self Defense - Know the Law!

First thing first, which is the need to understand what I mean by self defense. Self Defense is not a "fight"." It is a situation when you have been targeted because the attacker wants something from you. It is not an argument in a bar that leads to fighting. That is a choice based on peoples egos.

Attacked Tonight on the Way Home in Conclusion

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

You also need to know and understand the laws of where you life and your RIGHT to Self Defense!

Other things that you need to understand are linked below at the end of the article. Most of all I have something that can help you in every area needed for successful real street self defense. Keep reading and learn more!

Thank you for reading Attacked Tonight on the Way Home. Since I first wrote this article, and subsequently updated it in 2020 things have gotten much worse on the streets. I strongly suggest checking out my course called Kosho Street Strategies

Kyusho Jitsu Chi Development. How to build life force.

Kyusho Jitsu Chi Development

Before I go into the details as to why Kyusho Jitsu Chi Development is very important I must first make clear exactly what Chi is and why it is important to every aspect of life.

Kyusho Jitsu Chi Development - What is Chi?

What is Chi really? Does Chi exist? How important is Kyusho Jitsu Chi Development?Lets take a deeper look.

Science will be happy to tell you there is no such thing as Chi. What is Chi really? Why does main stream science say it does not exist?  The answer is easy, there is no funding in it.  Today, very sadly science has become a business, creating results based on FUNDING, and not FACT.

To see this all you need to do is look at the bombardment of drugs ads on TV for conditions that the drug itself gives as a side effect. (Like anti depressants causing suicidal thoughts).

3 Circulation Systems

The human body, all mammals actually have 3 different circulatory systems. They are as follows:

  • Cardiovascular (Gets the most attention)
  • Water balance ( which cleans the cells via the Lymph system, gets ignored)
  • Chi or Ki (Is denied by main stream science)
  • Kyusho Jitsu Chi Development

Therefore the first thing to think of to understand Chi is that the body is basically a bio-mechanical suit. It runs on electricity.  All movement, bodily functions and thought run via electrical impulses in the brain and the nervous system.  Chi is an electrical current that runs on the outside of the nerves because of an electric principle called induction. Very similar to a transformer.

Proper Chi flow in the body is a result of good health and proper functioning of the body systems.  And Vice-Versa. This is the basis of Chinese medicine and acupuncture.  Acupuncture corrects body health by reestablishing proper chi flow.  Each systems affects the other systems. The explanation is over simplified, but I know you get the idea!

    Kyusho Jitsu Chi Development

Developing strong body Chi will lead to many things! However the most important is HEALTH! Therefore you need to be doing this! Next is the ability to help others heal, and finally it can be used in self defense. I know that sounds crazy, but it is true. The art of Dim Mak was based on this very idea!

Here is a video to teach how to create a Chi Ball.

Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory. How Powerful is this Theory?

    Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory

The Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory is one of the 15 Principles of Kyusho Jitsu that I get the most questions about. People tend to be very fascinated with it! And for good reason also! The Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory once understood is one of the most effective and powerful of all the principles. So today lets take a look at this one in more details.

    Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory

The idea behind all this is that one "quadrant" of the body is "allergic" to the other quadrant of the body. Now the word allergic is not a very good one, but for now it will do.

To deeply understand the Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory you must first realize that the human brain CANNOT multitask

This has nothing to do with IQ either. The brain much like Windows simply switches from one task to another, and oftentimes does neither task very well.

This is just how we are wired! The brain is a very busy place, and not designed for multiple conscious tasks. This is the basis of how the Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory works!

However you can "program" automated responses to different scenarios, and this is how the Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory would be used in application.

So the basic idea is, when you attack different "quadrants" of the body the brain cannot understand the input and then reports far more pain than normal. In the case of striking it makes Neurological Pressure Point Knockouts easier!

Take a watch of this video on "stacking fire."

So why I am showing you a video on stacking fire when I am talking about the Quadrant Theory? Because my son Master Curt Mason stacked the Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory into this to make it more effective with a VERY strong Uki.

My question is? Did you hear him admit this during the demonstration? You can answer here to tell me yes or no!

He said "and going off the quadrant." Now Curt is the consummate teacher and he did it this way to see how many were paying attention. But I am sure you see just how effective this is!

    In Conclusion:

    Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

The Quadrant Theory is a very powerful principle in the science of pressure point self defense. And it is not that difficult to learn and apply!

Have you ever used this one? Comment here and let me know your thoughts!

Update September 16th 2021. Are you aware the the Quadrant Theory is also part of Octagon teaching? In high level training in Kosho Ryu is extremely important? Read more about Kosho Shorie Ryu here.

    Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory

The Quadrant Theory is a fascinating subject. Myself I have trained it as one of my favorite ways to get things to work especially if I encounter a strong Uki. And there are ways to train this. But first you need to develop a strong understanding.of how it works.

Back last winter I found some OLD video footage that was hidden on a external drive on my laptop. It included the Quadrant theory and several other principles and misc Kyusho Jitsu things. This is a 5 video set that includes:

Discover the 3 Types of Pressure Point Knockouts

    3 Types of Kyusho Knockouts

When people think of the word "knockout" they tend to think only of concussive events. However there are 3 Types of Kyusho Knockouts, and I am saying 3 types because you may be very surprised as to why.

There is for some reason much controversy when it comes to pressure point, Kyusho Jitsu Neurological Knockouts. However when you take a look at the facts you will see very plainly how they work!

Therefore lets take a moment break down the 3 Types of Kyusho Knockouts.

3 Types of Kyusho Knockouts - Types of Kyusho Knockouts #1

    Pressure Point Knockouts

The first on the list is the concussion. Concussions are caused by blunt trauma to the head resulting in bruising or damage to one or more areas of the brain.

This happens as the brain collides with the inside of the skull.

A concussion can be caused by heavy impact to the skull such as a martial arts strike, a fall, car accident, etc. However trauma does not always cause unconsciousness, but when it does it is a neurological event. Therefore these are very dangerous and can result in death.

3 Types of Kyusho Knockouts - Types of Kyusho Knockouts # 2

    3 Types of Kyusho Knockouts

Next on the list is the neurological knockout. A neurological knockout is caused by a short circuit, overload, or imbalance in the central nervous system. [involving both the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems.

Therefore this can be done using Kyusho Jitsu techniques

And these may also be caused by extreme stress, emotions, shock, or extreme trauma to any area of the body. [A broken bone or crushed limb for example].

Neurological knockouts also occur due to excessive use of drugs or alcohol. What is often called "fainting" is also a purely neurological event. As an example someone may faint at the sight of a needle. Since some do not believe that pressure point knockouts are real does this mean the person fainting is not real also?

3 Types of Kyusho Knockouts - Types of Kyusho Knockouts  #3

Then we have cardio/respiratory. This type of knockout is caused by limiting the oxygen supply to the brain. Therefore this can be caused by choking or strangulation involving the air supply, the flow of blood or both. These can also be caused by impact to veins or arteries. Which cause a disruption in the flow of blood,  possibly dislodging plaque from the arterial walls causing clots.

This is part of the Dim Mak systems of training.

    3 Types of Kyusho Knockouts

This now bring me to the point, since all knockouts, not matter what the cause are neurological then why would you not be training in this science?

Why POWER is not the ANSWER

There are many martial artists out there who believe in the idea of "punch or kick him hard in the head." There are so many issues with this one I cannot list them all! First the kind of power these people are talking about comes from anger

When you are angry you lose control of your motor skills. In fact anger and fear have the same result on your ability to fight back!

    You can miss very easy!

Plus you have no specific target in mind. Going for "impact" or in other words a concussion may not yield the results you are looking for! It takes time for the brain to swell and cause the "neurological" event of unconsciousness or a knockout.  I have had many concussions in my life and ONLY ONE caused me to lose consciousness and that was the first one.

So rather than focus on that one time power hit why would you not strike at the "occipital nerve" located at GB-20, or the "vagus nerve" branch at ST-05? These strikes, done correctly WILL cause  Kyusho Jitsu Knockouts. Here is a LINK to understanding how power is created and apply in Kyusho. This is the Kyusho Jitsu Power Principle

    3 Types of Kyusho Knockouts

Plus you are less likely to have "legal" issues as a result of your "fight" or "self defense" due to excess force or "overkill."

Are Kyusho Jitsu Knockouts hard to learn?

The answer is NO they are not. But you have to do the study! This involves learning how these nerves work, how to properly activate them and then tying this back to your root art or self defense system.

This type of knockout is someone anyone can do! But you do need to spend some time developing the skills!

3 Types of Kyusho Knockouts in Conclusion

    Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

When it comes to the reasons for how knockouts occur, the fact is they always become a neurological event.

Therefore with this in mind, why would you not just default to the neurological every time? Have you ever done a neurological knockout on someone? Leave a comment and let me know!
