The Lung Meridian: Today many, many people have serious issues with their lungs. Diseases like asthma are off the charts. We can debate forever as to the causes, but when it comes to self defense we always need to be aware of potential weaknesses in the body.
This is the 5th in the series on the acupuncture meridians of the body, and the first of the metal meridians.

Lung Meridian EPS
The EPS or Element, Striking Action, Polarity of Lung are discussed below.
These also include other aspects which are listed and linked for your reference also. The meridian starts on the below the collar bone. It runs up the yin side of the arm and terminates on the thumb. You can see the path in the image above,

The energy is leaving the body in the Lung Meridian. This ties into the 24 Hour Diurnal Cycle.
Important Pressure Points of the Lung Meridian
Below I am going to list and link to the top 3 most important pressure points on the Lung Meridian.
- Alarm Point LU-01
- Pressure Point LU-05
- LU-08
I have only written articles on LU-01, 02 which are linked above. However there are many important pressure points on the Lung Meridian. I do recommend my book Kyusho Pressure Point Anatomy of the Online Encyclopedia of Kyusho for more information on every pressure point on the body.
Now for a little more information Pressure Point LU-08 is one of the 36 Dim Mak Vital Points as well as an Underlying Indicator Pressure Point. Pressure Point LU-05 is a basic healing point for breathing issues and resuscitation. Therefore it can also be used to cause sever breathing issues. Please read the linked article on LU-01 as it is a very important and dangerous pressure point.
