Today I am going to get into some very advanced level pressure point understanding. This is what I call "Special Purpose Pressure Points." This is truly master / grand master level knowledge.
And it is beyond the scope of a single article to teach this information. But, I am going to give a brief understanding of these Special Purpose Pressure Points.
When you have become proficient with the basics, things like the 15 Principles of Kyusho Jitsu then these Special Purpose Pressure Points will make more sense. Everything ties at some level into everything else.
There are 361 Pressure Points on the human body. Each with their own function and purpose. Some pressure points have more than one function. And these are the types of pressure points I will be discussing in today's article.
Special Purpose Pressure Points - Underlying Indicator Pressure Points
The first on my list today is what are referred to as "Underlying Indicator Points." When you understand these pressure points it opens up a Parthenon of possibilities for you. So what are these?
As you should be aware there are 12 Meridians on the body, each with their own relationship to an element. So as an example the Lung Meridian is a Metal Element Meridian.
On each meridian there is a pressure point which has a direct relation to a different element.
As an example LU-05 is the Underlying Indicator Point for WATER. Therefore when activated water is added to the lung meridian.
This is an over simplification, but we are looking at the destructive potentials, not the healing potential which is what most people would be familiar with in acupuncture.
Special Purpose Pressure Points - Confluent Pressure Points
The next on the list is the Confluent Pressure Points. These pressure points for Kyusho Jitsu have a very powerful and important effect. When activated they will cause a weakness to occur in a certain area of the body. Thereby making the area much easier to attack, and the subsequent damage greater.
This is something very important to the "death touch" of Dim Mak.
PC-06 [Pericardium] is one such pressure point. When activated PC-06 weakens the chest.
Therefore any subsequent strike to the chest, such as SP-21 will have a magnified affect as the chest has lost much of its ability to defend itself.
There are 5 Confluent Pressure Points.
Special Purpose Pressure Points - Influential Pressure Points
This is another group of very interesting pressure points. These points when activated affect certain meridian and organ groupings. The points in these cases are activated by contact, but once contact is removed, the affect is gone also.
This group of 4 pressure points not only has an effect on the meridian, but will cause illness under certain circumstances to an entire group of organs. An example is LV-13 which influences the health of all the Yin organs of the body. This is a very powerful pressure point that has a delayed affect on the body. Perfect in Dim Mak setups.
Special Purpose Pressure Points - Collateral Pressure Points
The final set of pressure points in this grouping of Special Purpose Pressure Points are the Collateral Pressure Points.
As I have mentioned before the Meridian system of the body is not as"black and white" as it appears to be.
The meridians are at the surface area of the body but in reality run far deeper.
After all they follow the nervous system which is more complex than we can imagine.
This is a grouping of pressure points that connect at a very deep level to another meridian.
There are 15 total and these have an important relationship to the 24 Hour Diurnal Cycle as well as Yin - Yang. This makes them VERY powerful for Kyusho Jitsu usage, but they are not easy to understand without a solid foundation in the basics.
As an example LV-06 connects directly to the Lung Meridian. This follows the 24 Hour Diurnal Cycle, as well as the Kyusho Jitsu Principle of Yin and Yang. Can you guess the result of activation?
Special Purpose Pressure Points in Conclusion
As you can see this is not only very advanced information, but also very fascinating!
Using these requires a STRONG foundation in Kyusho Jitsu.
Now I am wonder have I been clear in this article? Do you get the basic idea of what I am talking about? Comment here!
