The Science of Pressure Point Self Defense

What do I mean when I say the Science of Pressure Point Self Defense? First I need to define the word science.

Science [Noun]

  1. The observation, identification, description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation of phenomena.
  2. Such activities restricted to a class of natural phenomena.
  3. Such activities applied to an object of inquiry or study.

Do you notice that nowhere in the definition does it refer to any FACT?

Today science, mainstream science has become a political ideology almost like a religion and that is NOT in anyway the definition of the word. Words have meaning, and you cannot just change them to suit your beliefs.

Now that the rant is out of the way!

How do we approach Kyusho Jitsu as a science?  This is done by experimenting with many different volunteers, of every imaginable body type, and trying to find pressure points, and methods of applying them that give a predictable result.  I consider anything over 85% to be pretty dependable.

Therefore I use this as the benchmark.

The result of pressure point activation can be as follows:

Stimulation of activation of the pressure point will likely cause.

  • Pain
  • Weakness in the body
  • Unconsciousness

This is all we really need to work about!

Why 85%?

The reason I look for a 85% benchmark for a pressure point working is because these are pretty good odds of success! Nothing is 100%. It is not possible because there are 2 many variables!

As an example if I look at myself. For some ODD and unknown reason I have a VERY high pain tolerance. I have had multiple surgeries due to injury and NEVER take any pain medications. Not even over the counter aspirin.  These injuries include the following.

After Forklift Accident - Achilles tendon

After Forklift Accident - Achilles tendon

  • Was hit by a forklift at Chrysler in 2002 that tore me, from ankle to ankle. Requiring dozens of stitches and a resulting rupture to the Achilles tendon.
  • Broke Bicep tendon and surgical reattachment.
  • Torn knee cartilage
  • Torn / severed hamstring muscle
  • Multiple concussions.

So there are a lot of things because of this tolerance that do not work on me. However many of the pressure points I teach do work, but not necessarily from the pain aspect! But they do cause a weakness!

Large Intestine 18

Large Intestine 18 is a strike point that has a better then 85% success rate on everyone we have tried it on.

This pressure point can also when hit correctly and with enough force cause a Neurological Knockout

So I am sure you can now see, the study of Kyusho Jitsu is indeed a science.  And we are honest enough to report the real findings, not making them up!

Pressure Point study, along with a SOLID self defense martial art system is a game changer!  But again I must stress there is study and work that must be done! I also do not insist that people take my findings as gospel!

You should do the work yourself and find you own results. And I encourage this! If by some chance you are looking for a self defense system based on Kyusho Jitsu follow this link

FACT - Self Defense is Neurological

Yes it is true, it is a FACT. And there are very few FACTS. Many martial artist these days love to ridicule things that do not understand, and the science of pressure point self defense is one of those!

So what do I mean?

Well if you punch someone in the face really hard, the resulting pain is neurological. If they receive a concussion, which is swelling of the brain, that can result in sever headache, unconsciousness and even death. This is also neurological!

Concussion

Concussion

So why would you not study the human nervous system to utilize this and optimize your techniques? OK, then this makes sense right? Well a "Pressure Point" is a place on the body where a "nerve ends" or crosses another nerve. it is also a place where a nerve branches into a "Y."

So why are you not studying this?? Especially when it will help you get the results you want, more effectively and more efficiently!

The main reason many people do not study the science of pressure point self defense called Kyusho Jitsu is because there are so many instructors who DO NOT KNOW because they did not study it, who give opinions that simply not valid!

And believe me there are thousands of them! Also students are often worried about what these closed minded instructors will say! If you have one of these instructors, time to move on to someone still open to learning!

NO ONE knows everything.
And the ones who insist they do usually know the least!
