Are you aware that ONLY 2-3% of the population has written goal? Have you noticed the correlation between success and written goals? All of the 2-3 % of people that the current political climate wants you to HATE is this percentage with written goals. This should be telling you something. So today we will discuss the idea of Kyusho Jitsu Goal Setting.
Success leaves clues. It always has. And most martial artists, at least the ones who train long and hard enough to achieve a Black Belt in their root art understand this. But often something happens. After the goal is reached they slow down and even stop training. The funny thing is the way martial art training is setup it automatically teaches goal setting. You want to reach the next belt level. Sadly students often do not see past that 1st Dan Black Belt. This is a lack of a long term goal! Something we work hard at my school in Canada to overcome.
People are goal seeking creatures. It is hard wired into us. This is the reason why you "want" things. And NO this is NOT a bad thing! But school does not teach you how to get the things you want. In fact school itself teaches things of virtually little or no value any longer. When you do not set goals life has little value and meaning. This would also explain the very high rate of depression in the world as the powers that be keep talking about being entitled to things. Sorry, no one is entitled to anything.
This is one reason that I believe it so important to teach children martial arts. Why it is important for them to earn and achieve rank. Because it will make them strong and ambitious adults. All of my children are martial artists! Now I know some martial artist will disagree with this. But it is time to but the close minded opinions and envy away and build a generation of STRONG children!
This is equally important for adults too! Goals should never end! At least as long as we are still breathing.
You need different levels of goals. One of the issues with goal setting is people make a big lofty long term goal, fail to reach it and say "this does not work" and quit! So lets break this down now.
I work hard to inspire my students to learn and train. Kyusho Jitsu can not only increase your understanding of your root art system. And not just increase your odds in an attack. It can also help you to understand and learn to set goals.
Over the past few months I have been offering people the opportunity to learn Kyusho Jitsu and earn a Black Belt in the art for a fraction of the cost normally. Our program is based on systems of learning that you can use the above goal setting system to learn and have a successful grading in Kyusho Jitsu.
