Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory. How Powerful is this Theory?

Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory

The Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory is one of the 15 Principles of Kyusho Jitsu that I get the most questions about. People tend to be very fascinated with it! And for good reason also! The Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory once understood is one of the most effective and powerful of all the principles. So today lets take a look at this one in more details.

Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory

The idea behind all this is that one "quadrant" of the body is "allergic" to the other quadrant of the body. Now the word allergic is not a very good one, but for now it will do.

To deeply understand the Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory you must first realize that the human brain CANNOT multitask

This has nothing to do with IQ either. The brain much like Windows simply switches from one task to another, and oftentimes does neither task very well.

This is just how we are wired! The brain is a very busy place, and not designed for multiple conscious tasks. This is the basis of how the Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory works!

However you can "program" automated responses to different scenarios, and this is how the Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory would be used in application.

So the basic idea is, when you attack different "quadrants" of the body the brain cannot understand the input and then reports far more pain than normal. In the case of striking it makes Neurological Pressure Point Knockouts easier!

Take a watch of this video on "stacking fire."

So why I am showing you a video on stacking fire when I am talking about the Quadrant Theory? Because my son Master Curt Mason stacked the Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory into this to make it more effective with a VERY strong Uki.

My question is? Did you hear him admit this during the demonstration? You can answer here to tell me yes or no!

He said "and going off the quadrant." Now Curt is the consummate teacher and he did it this way to see how many were paying attention. But I am sure you see just how effective this is!

In Conclusion:

Kyusho Article CONCLUSION

The Quadrant Theory is a very powerful principle in the science of pressure point self defense. And it is not that difficult to learn and apply!

Update September 16th 2021. Are you aware the the Quadrant Theory is also part of Octagon teaching? In high level training in Kosho Ryu is extremely important? Read more about Kosho Shorie Ryu here.

Kyusho Jitsu Quadrant Theory

The Quadrant Theory is a fascinating subject. Myself I have trained it as one of my favorite ways to get things to work especially if I encounter a strong Uki. And there are ways to train this. But first you need to develop a strong understanding.of how it works.

Back last winter I found some OLD video footage that was hidden on a external drive on my laptop. It included the Quadrant theory and several other principles and misc Kyusho Jitsu things. This is a 5 video set that includes:
